Susanne is a psychologist from the United States. She has spent her career working in the mental health field in outpatient behavioral health clinics, hospitals, detention and prison settings, and has responded to many situations involving crisis. She has also been a strong advocate for individuals living with intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder.
She recognizes that there are many areas of the world where mental health services are not readily available. Even in areas where mental health services are available, individuals may be reluctant to schedule an appointment because they are not sure of what to expect. She would like to help bridge the gap by offering education about a variety of topics related to psychology. This includes teaching basic skills for reducing stress and improving communication and relationships. This is not a replacement for mental health services, but the sharing of information that can be helpful to individuals in their daily lives.

This heart-warming story is inspired by Susanne's dad. It is a story of support and sound advice for kids, from the voice of a hardworking, loving, dad and grandfather.
The Paver, Jim, has spent his days running the equipment that is used to build freeways, highways, and country roads like the one he lives on. He's also the guy that the kids and grandkids turn to in fun times and when they are experiencing life's challenges. Join this ordinary hero and his family for some grandfatherly advice and a trip down life's highway.
Great for grades 4-8 and for reading to children and grandchildren.

Wael has a phrase he shares with his students and individuals on his tours. When you see the hieroglyphics, statues, and other things created by Ancient Egyptians, he observes that “every stone tells a story.” The wisdom can be found by interpreting what has been carved into the rocks.
Susanne’s heroes in history have been known for their wisdom, such as King Solomon, Thoth (Egyptian), and Athena (Greek). In the US, the phrase “that rocks,” means it’s awesome. So, to Susanne, gaining and sharing wisdom is awesome. One of Susanne’s mentors, a Native American elder from the Lakota Sioux community named Reed Brown states that “rocks are our oldest ancestors”. Susanne is happy to share the wisdom she has gained through her education and life experience to help others.
